First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether not suctioning the breathing tube before removing it is safe and might reduce coughing and sore throat. About 408 adults having planned surgery will be randomly assigned to either routine suctioning or no suctioning. The main goal is to see if oxygen levels stay safe, while also checking for fewer side effects like coughing and throat pain.
