First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a portable EEG device called StrokePointer that ambulance crews can use on people with suspected stroke. The goal is to see if it can accurately identify patients with a large vessel occlusion stroke, who need to go directly to a hospital that offers a specialized clot-removal procedure. About 275 adults with stroke symptoms will be enrolled, and the device's ease of use and ability to get clear brain signals will be measured.
