Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with atrial fibrillation (AF, an irregular heartbeat) still have a stroke even while taking blood-thinning medication. Researchers will follow 500 stroke patients with AF for about a year, collecting blood samples and heart scan data. The goal is to find markers that can better identify which patients are at the highest risk for another stroke.
