Hourly blood tests aim to map stroke damage in real time

NCT ID NCT06121336

Summary

This study aims to understand how a specific protein (BD-tau) in the blood changes in the first 48 hours after a stroke. Researchers will take blood samples every hour from 100 patients who have just had a stroke to see exactly when this marker rises and stops rising. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors monitor stroke damage more closely and make better treatment decisions.
