Could tweaking brain stimulation frequencies sharpen epilepsy surgery?

NCT ID NCT03738072

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study looks at people with epilepsy that doesn't get better with medication. These patients already need brain electrodes to find where seizures start. Researchers want to see if using a wider range of electrical stimulation frequencies than usual helps better pinpoint the seizure zone, which could lead to more precise surgery. About 20 people aged 12 to 65 will take part.
