Stem cell shot for bad backs? trial withdrawn before start

NCT ID NCT04735185

Summary

This study aimed to see if a patient's own stem cells, taken from their bone marrow and injected into a worn spinal disc, would work better than a standard steroid injection to ease chronic low back pain. It planned to enroll adults with long-term pain from one or two degenerated discs who hadn't gotten better with other treatments. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
