This trial compares two psychological approaches for chronic low back pain: exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The goal is to see which method better reduces pain-related disability and to identify which patients benefit most from each. Adults with chronic back pain and significant disability will receive 10 sessions of one therapy and be followed for up to two years.
