Nerve block may offer new hope for heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT06733012
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether blocking certain nerves in the abdomen can help people with heart failure feel better and be more active. The idea is that these nerves cause blood to pool in the belly, making the heart work harder. By temporarily blocking them, blood may move more freely, reducing congestion. The study will enroll 54 adults with heart failure and reduced pumping ability to check safety and effectiveness.
