Could your smartphone spot a heart attack? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06271577
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a new smartphone-based 12-lead ECG device can accurately detect heart attacks (STEMI and NSTEMI) in 1000 adults who come to the emergency room with chest pain. The device records heart signals and generates a full 12-lead ECG, which will be compared to standard hospital ECGs. The goal is to see if the smartphone ECG is just as good as the traditional method for diagnosing heart attacks.
