Summary

This study tests a drug called sivelestat in people with septic shock who also have a blood clotting problem called coagulopathy. The drug aims to help the body break down small blood clots that form during severe infections. About 120 adults in intensive care will receive either sivelestat or a placebo to see if it improves clotting function.
