Summary
Septic shock is a life-threatening condition where infection leads to dangerously low blood pressure. Many patients also develop disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), a disorder that causes abnormal blood clotting throughout the body. This study will follow 60 adults in the ICU to see whether changes in a standard DIC score are linked to worsening organ function over two weeks. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients earlier and guide more timely interventions.
