First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether semaglutide, a weight loss drug, can help people with HIV who are obese lose more weight than just diet and exercise. About 80 adults with well-controlled HIV will take semaglutide or follow lifestyle changes alone for 28 weeks. Researchers will also check how the drug affects immune function and other health markers.
