New drug aims to cool artery inflammation and prevent heart attacks

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called selnoflast in 162 people with atherosclerosis (hardened arteries) who are at high risk for heart attacks or strokes. Participants continue their standard treatments and receive either selnoflast or a placebo. The goal is to see if selnoflast reduces inflammation in the arteries, measured by a special PET scan, over 12 weeks.
