Glowing dye could help surgeons remove sarcomas in one go

NCT ID NCT06409013

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a dye called indocyanine green can help surgeons see if any cancer remains after removing a sarcoma. About 50 adults with bone or soft tissue sarcoma will receive the dye during surgery, and the surgeon will check for glowing areas that might indicate leftover tumor. The goal is to see if this technique matches lab results and could reduce the need for follow-up surgeries.
