First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving stroke patients extra tests—like checking for hidden heart problems, artery stiffness, and leg circulation—can lower their chance of having another stroke or heart attack. About 600 people in Stockholm will get this expanded check-up and a personalized treatment plan. Their results will be compared to patients who received standard care over the next 5 to 10 years.
