Robot or laparoscope? major trial weighs cost and benefits of Weight-Loss surgery methods

Summary
This study looks at whether robot-assisted weight-loss surgery is worth its higher cost compared to standard laparoscopic surgery. About 482 adults with obesity will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers will track complications, quality of life, and overall healthcare costs for one year to see which approach offers better value.
