Scientists probe VNS effects on heart, nerves, and immune system

Summary

This study looks at how vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) changes the nervous system, heart, immune system, and metabolism in people who already have a VNS device for epilepsy or depression. It is not a treatment study—it aims to learn how VNS works. About 144 adults aged 18 and older will take part.
