First seen May 12, 2026 ยท Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study tested a program called R2 to improve the care, environment, and sleep patterns of children in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Researchers observed 56 children to see how changes in light, sound, and daily routines affected their healing and natural sleep-wake cycles. The goal was to learn what helps support a child's recovery, not to test a new drug or treatment.
