First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding protein supplements to a weight-loss plan (diet and the drug semaglutide) helps overweight or obese adults lose more weight, keep muscle, and avoid gaining weight back. About 140 people will take part, with some getting just diet, some diet plus semaglutide, and some diet plus semaglutide and extra protein. The goal is to find better ways to manage weight long-term.
