Summary

This study tested whether taking a probiotic called Hafnia alvei HA4597 can help people lose more weight and control blood sugar better after gastric bypass surgery. 49 adults with obesity and type 2 diabetes took either the probiotic or a placebo twice a day for 90 days, starting one month after surgery.
