Could a simple patch catch hidden heart problems after a stroke?

NCT ID NCT07407790

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares a new wireless heart sensor patch to standard hospital monitoring for detecting atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in people who recently had a stroke. About 450 adults will be randomly assigned to wear the patch for up to 14 days or receive usual care with a Holter monitor for 24-48 hours. The goal is to see if the patch is as good or better at finding hidden heart rhythm problems, which could help doctors start the right treatment sooner and prevent another stroke.
