First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special blood-filtering cartridge (PMX) to usual hospital care can help people with septic shock caused by endotoxins. About 150 adults with severe low blood pressure needing strong medicines will be randomly assigned to get the filter plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if the filter lowers the number of deaths within 28 days.
