First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a special virus mixture (phage therapy) to standard antibiotics can improve outcomes for people with a serious heart valve infection called infective endocarditis. About 30 adults with active endocarditis will receive either the phage therapy or a placebo, alongside usual antibiotics. The goal is to see if the combination reduces hospital stays, blood clots, and deaths.
