First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests a special PET scan that uses a radioactive probe to detect PD-L1, a protein on tumor cells. It aims to help doctors identify which patients with lung cancer, melanoma, or other solid tumors are most likely to benefit from immunotherapy. About 40 adults will receive the scan before starting treatment. The goal is to see if this noninvasive method can replace or complement standard tissue biopsies.
