NCT ID NCT06792435

First seen Aug 11, 2026 · Last updated Aug 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This trial is testing an experimental drug called XNW27011 in people with advanced solid tumors, such as pancreatic, lung, ovarian, colorectal, biliary tract, stomach, or gastroesophageal junction cancer, that have not responded to or are not eligible for standard treatments. XNW27011 is a type of targeted therapy called an antibody-drug conjugate, designed to seek out and deliver a toxic payload to cancer cells that carry a specific protein called Claudin 18.2. The study has two parts: the first part finds the safest dose, and the second part checks how well that dose shrinks tumors in patients whose tumors express this protein.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
XNW27011, an antibody-drug conjugate that targets a protein called Claudin 18.2 found on some tumor cells
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors like pancreatic, lung, ovarian, or stomach cancer who have run out of standard therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial, so the drug may not work or may cause severe side effects. The results are uncertain and more research is needed before any conclusions can be drawn.
