Pancreas biopsy danger: who is at risk?

NCT ID NCT07168863

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tracks 300 adults in Tehran who are getting a pancreas biopsy (EUS-guided FNB) to see how often pancreatitis occurs afterward. Researchers will measure enzyme levels 24 hours later and check for pain. The goal is to find out which factors—like age, gender, or biopsy location—raise the risk, so doctors can make the procedure safer.
