Freezing cancer to stop the pain: new combo therapy trial

NCT ID NCT04693377

Summary

This study is testing if adding a freezing procedure (cryoablation) to standard radiation therapy works better to relieve pain from cancer that has spread to the bones. Researchers will compare the combination treatment to radiation alone in 40 patients with advanced cancers. The main goal is to see which approach provides better and longer-lasting pain relief and reduces the need for strong pain medications.
