Can blood tests tame Chemo's painful side effects?

NCT ID NCT03987555

Summary

This study aims to see if doctors can reliably measure the amount of a common chemotherapy drug (paclitaxel) in a patient's blood. The goal is to learn if tracking these levels can help find the right dose to fight cancer while reducing a severe side effect: nerve damage that causes pain and numbness. It enrolled 22 adults with various advanced solid tumors who were already scheduled to receive this type of chemotherapy.
