New obesity pill combo enters first human safety trial

This early-stage study tests whether a new oral drug, VRB-103, is safe and tolerable when taken alone or with another drug (ecnoglutide) in people with obesity or overweight. About 336 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to check for side effects, not to cure obesity, as weight management typically requires ongoing treatment.
