Can a simple change in antibiotic dosing help obese patients?
NCT ID NCT06690905
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether giving an antibiotic (piperacillin-tazobactam) as a longer infusion helps people with obesity reach the right drug levels in their blood. It included 45 hospitalized adults with a BMI of 30 or higher. The main goal was to see if a larger study is possible, not to prove the treatment works better.
