New knee implant aims to ease pain after meniscus surgery

Summary

This study tested a plastic meniscus implant in 115 people who still had knee pain after having part of their meniscus removed. The implant is designed to replace the damaged cushion in the knee and reduce pain. Researchers checked how safe the device was and whether it improved knee function and quality of life over 2 to 5 years.
