First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a virtual reality program featuring nostalgic scenes from Taiwanese culture could improve mood, life satisfaction, and thinking skills in older adults with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia. Sixty-four participants aged 65 and older were randomly assigned to either the VR program or routine activities. The VR sessions were short and supervised. Researchers measured changes in cognitive function, depression, and well-being using standard questionnaires.
