Better drug found for low blood pressure in C-Sections?
NCT ID NCT07153601
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested two medications, norepinephrine and phenylephrine, to treat low blood pressure that can happen during C-sections with spinal anesthesia. 46 women received one of the drugs when their blood pressure dropped. Both worked well, but norepinephrine kept the heart rate more stable. This suggests norepinephrine may be a better choice for managing this common side effect.
