Can a finger sensor predict tissue damage in septic shock?

NCT ID NCT07330908

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at 80 adults with septic shock to see if a simple finger sensor (peripheral perfusion index) can accurately predict tissue health when different doses of the drug norepinephrine are used. The goal was to find out if the sensor's readings remain reliable regardless of drug dose. Results may help doctors monitor patients more easily without invasive tests.
