Amnion skin graft offers new hope for slow-healing leg ulcers
NCT ID NCT07061613
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a skin graft made from donated amniotic tissue can safely help heal venous leg ulcers—open sores on the lower leg caused by poor blood flow. Ten adults with ulcers between 1 and 30 square centimeters will receive the graft and be monitored for complete wound closure over several weeks. The goal is to see if this treatment can close wounds faster and keep them closed.
