NCT ID NCT07626203
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to treat venous leg ulcers, which are slow-healing wounds on the lower leg. Researchers used ultrasound to push hyaluronic acid gel into the wound and compared it to standard care in 64 patients. The goal was to see if this combination speeds up healing and reduces wound size.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a better way to heal venous leg ulcers faster, reducing pain and recurrence risk.
