First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a special wrap made from donated placenta tissue (human amniotic membrane) to help heal difficult leg ulcers caused by poor blood flow in people aged 65 and older. The goal was to see if the wrap could close the wound completely within 12 weeks. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited.
