What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Multiprofen-CC cream (a topical pain reliever)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new topical option to ease hand arthritis pain and improve hand function without strong pills.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 42 people. The cream may work no better than placebo, and results may not apply to everyone with hand arthritis.
