First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether low level laser therapy (LLLT) can help relieve pain and improve hand function in people with hand osteoarthritis. About 83 adults, including active duty military and their families, were randomly assigned to receive either real LLLT or a sham (fake) treatment once a week for six weeks. Participants rated their pain and hand function at each visit and again six weeks after treatment ended.
