NCT ID NCT07649278
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a bundle of smartphone-based tools, including a mobile health app and other online resources, to see if they are practical and helpful for people who use drugs. The goal is to lower overdose risk by improving access to prevention services. Forty participants will use the tools for up to 9 months, and researchers will measure how acceptable, appropriate, and feasible the bundle is.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Connections mHealth Application (smartphone app bundle)
What this could lead to
If the app bundle is found to be acceptable and feasible, it could offer a new way to support people who use drugs in reducing their overdose risk.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The app bundle may not be effective for all users.
