First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether drinking one cup of regular milk each day can lower the risk of type 2 diabetes in people with lactose intolerance who also have prediabetes. Researchers will compare regular milk to lactose-free milk over 12 weeks in 40 adults. They will measure changes in gut bacteria, blood sugar, and digestive symptoms to see if milk has a protective effect.
