First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests if midodrine, a drug that raises blood pressure, can help people with heart failure and low blood pressure tolerate standard heart failure medications. About 56 adults with weak hearts and low blood pressure will be randomly assigned to get midodrine or usual care. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and safe, and if it allows patients to take more of the medications that improve survival.
