Summary
This study tests a new blood test that uses DNA sequencing to identify the bacteria causing infective endocarditis, a serious heart infection. The test aims to be faster than current methods, which can take up to 5 days. Researchers will compare the new test's accuracy to standard blood cultures in 200 adults with suspected endocarditis.
