First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether melatonin (a natural sleep hormone) works as well as pregabalin (a nerve pain medication) for reducing pain and anxiety after spine surgery. About 105 adults undergoing planned spine surgery will receive one of the two medicines right after the operation. Researchers will measure pain levels and anxiety scores over the first few days to see which option provides better relief.
