Mediterranean diet in pregnancy may shield babies from allergies

Summary
This study tests whether eating a Mediterranean diet during pregnancy can prevent allergies in children. Researchers will enroll 276 healthy pregnant women who are at risk of having a baby with allergies. Half will follow a Mediterranean diet, and the other half will eat as usual. The main goal is to see if the diet reduces allergies in the children by age 2.
