First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new medical device called TOCONAUTE, a patch placed on the mother's belly during labor. It measures the baby's heart rate and the mother's contractions in real time. The goal was to see if this patch works as well as the standard monitor. 60 pregnant women in labor took part, and the patch was used alongside usual care.
