Can a breathing machine prevent dangerous pregnancy complications?

NCT ID NCT03487185

Summary

This study is testing whether treating sleep apnea with a CPAP machine during pregnancy can reduce serious high blood pressure conditions like preeclampsia. Researchers will enroll 1,500 pregnant women with mild to moderate sleep apnea and randomly assign them to use either CPAP or no treatment. The goal is to see if this common breathing treatment improves health outcomes for both mothers and babies.
