First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares two drugs, mannitol and nitroglycerin, given during robotic prostate or bladder cancer surgery to see if they can prevent acute kidney injury. The surgery uses gas to inflate the belly, which can reduce blood flow to the kidneys. The trial includes 90 adults with normal or mildly reduced kidney function. The goal is to find which drug better protects kidney health after surgery.
