Summary

This study tests if a procedure called lymphovenous bypass, done before lymph node removal, can prevent lymphedema (arm swelling). It involves 252 adults with breast cancer or melanoma who are scheduled for lymph node surgery. The bypass reroutes lymph fluid away from the arm, aiming to stop swelling before it starts.
