This trial explores whether adding counseling, cognitive behavioural therapy, or hypnotherapy to nicotine replacement therapy can help cancer patients quit smoking before their surgery. The study includes adults with breast, digestive, gynecologic cancer, or melanoma who smoke daily and want to quit. Participants receive nicotine replacement and may also be assigned to one of the extra support options. The main goal is to see if these programs are practical and acceptable for patients preparing for surgery.
